Starting in 2008 NJAC will hold a monthly lecture series at the Hunterdon County Extension Service, 6 Gaunt Place, Bldg #2, Lower Level, Flemington, NJ 08822.
The lecture series meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, except for February and November, when due to holidays, it will be held on the 2nd Wednesday.
Doors will open at 7pm. Please check specific dates in the events calendar for more information on the schedule of events.

And What To Do When Things Don't Go As Planned". Before joining Furlong's she trained with alpacas at Cornell. He will discuss the varieties/types of hay, pros & cons with general recommendations. The seminar will basically cover everything you always wanted to know about hay. Monthly Lecture Series - June | We are pleased to have Linda Berry Walker as our guest speaker. She will discuss "How tax incentives have affected the alpaca community - past, present and future, with up to date information on the tax benefits of the 2008 Economic Stimulus Act that every alpaca owner should know!" There are some very exciting incentives in place this year. Linda has thoroughly researched this through contacts with accountants and the legislature. Please come hear how all this can help YOU. Of course there will be plenty of time for questions and answers. |

We are asking for a farm in the north to volunteer to host this event. |

Monthly Lecture Series - July | For lack of a better term, this will be a "social" followed by committee breakout sessions. We tried this in February but we were unable to meet due to a winter storm. We are eager to get the committees together face-to-face to make plans and timelines to implement these plans! We will discuss this more at the membership meeting and details will follow. |
